Paul Gardner is Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Bedfordshire. His specialist areas are English, drama and multicultural education. Before moving into higher education Paul had taught in both the primary and secondary school sectors, firstly as a teacher of Drama and English, then as the co-ordinator for multicultural education in a Local Authority and finally as a generalist primary teacher.

In a addition to his four books, published by David Fulton and Routledge in the UK, Paul has contributed to numerous international conferences and has had papers published in: English in Education; English in Australia; Journal of Social Sciences and Education 3-13.

Aside from his academic writing, Paul performs and publishes his poetry in both the UK and Australia.
